DANGER TO YOUR LIVESTOCK

Bench tests performed by our engineering team have shown that the coating used on certain competitor spikes is either powder-based or thermoplastic. This type of paint tends to chip and flake off, as shown in the yellow box in the photo above.

These flakes can end up in the hay and be ingested by animals, which represents a serious potential risk for animal health and for overall feed safety. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) strictly regulates the presence of physical contaminants in livestock feed.

The first spike shown in the image is an Agri-Can model, tested at the same time. Our test bench is designed to test two spikes simultaneously. Note the smooth surface, with no steel or paint flakes on the Agri-Can spike.

Our high-resistance, flexible coating is a water-based paint, free from solvents and added plastics. It is specifically designed for strong adhesion to the metal and to reduce the risk of chipping under real agricultural working conditions.

First check carried out by FSDT, including resistance and conformity tests before shipment.
Second verification carried out directly at our Agri-Can headquarters, where samples are submitted to our own test bench to confirm the quality of the results.

This double validation makes Agri-Can the only company on the market to ensure such complete quality control, with our joint logos affixed to each piece as a guarantee of authenticity.

For complete traceability, each loader tine is also engraved in the steel with its batch number and production date — a guarantee of transparency and compliance.
